Standard Rupture Disk

The STD rupture disk is an economical, pre-bulged rupture disk, with a 30o angular seating area. The STD is excellent for gas or liquid service. Optional components are vacuum supports, support rings, and Teflon® liners. Available in sizes 3/16” through 42” and available in pressure ranges 2 psig to 80,000 psig. The STD is available in a wide variety of materials, which include 316 Stainless Steel, Monel, Inconel, Nickel, Aluminum and Hastelloy (C-276).

Composite Rupture Disk

The OSECO CO type rupture disk is designed to operate effectively at rupture pressures lower than those of the Standard type rupture disk(s). Composite rupture disks are constructed in combinations of most rupture disk materials.

FAS Rupture Disk - OSECO’s problem solving disk

The FAS Rupture Disk is designed as a non-fragmenting, scored rupture disk. Score lines are on the convex side of disk, away from process. The smooth surface toward your process reduces product build-up problems. The FAS will withstand vacuum without a separate support and operates up to 90% of disk burst pressure.

PCR Rupture Disk

The PCR is a reverse buckling rupture disk that opens along scored lines and is designed to be non-fragmenting. The PCR does not require a vacuum support when exposed to vacuum, and operates to 90% of the rated burst pressure.

PLR Rupture Disk

The OSECO PLR rupture disk offers extremely low burst pressures for an all metal design. The armored construction for the PLR protects the disk from damage that effects the performance of other low pressure rupture disks

PLRSC Rupture Disk

The OSECO PLRSC rupture disk is a precision, low pressure, reverse buckling rupture disk designed for sanitary applications in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and food industries.

PRO+ Rupture Disk

pro
The Oseco PRO+ (Precision Reverse-Operating) Rupture Disk is designed and manufactured for high-performance and demanding rupture disk applications. The PRO+ is a fully opening perimeter-scored design, due to the precision scoring delivered by Oseco’s unique computerized load cell technology. This process yields a high performance disk to withstand the most difficult applications, even in corrosion resistant materials such as Hastelloy® C-276.

FASS Rupture Disk - Forward Acting Scored, Sanitary

The OSECO FASS disks are designed for use in sanitary service. No special holder is required due to the utilization of an integral sanitary gasket (FDA approved silicon). Disks are good for both gas and liquid service, are non-fragmenting, do not require separate vacuum supports, and may be operated to 90% of set pressure with good service life. A 3-D tag is standard to ensure correct installation. Sizes available are 1.5 through 4”.

FLCO - Flat Low-Pressure CO

The OSECO type FLCO provides low pressure relief from 1 PSIG to 50 PSIG and is available in sizes 2” through 36” diameters. The FLCO fits between standard ANSI flanges. It is not torque sensitive and has the same burst pressure in either direction. The FLCO is suggested for applications in which the normal operating pressure does not exceed 50% of the rated burst pressure. The FLCO is supplied from standard rupture disk materials and is encapsulated with Teflon® liners.

FLCOS - Flat Low-Pressure Rupture Disk and Sensor Combination

The OSECO type FLCO provides low pressure relief from 1 PSIG to 50 PSIG and is available in sizes 2” through 36” diameters. The FLCO fits between standard ANSI flanges. It is not torque sensitive and has the same burst pressure in either direction. The FLCO is suggested for applications in which the normal operating pressure does not exceed 50% of the rated burst pressure. The FLCO is supplied from standard rupture disk materials and is encapsulated with Teflon® liners.

Rupture Panels

OSECO’s round, square, and rectangular rupture panels offer the highest relief capacity at affordable prices. Standard panel sizes range from 8” to 42” in diameter and 8” x 8” in square configuration, through 44” x 69” in rectangular configuration. Contact Advanced Rupture Disk Technology, Inc. for a quote to custom manufacture to your special size requirements.

Graphite Disk - Resin impregnated graphite rupture disk

The OSECO line of graphite disks are manufactured from a resin impregnated, electrographite material. The products are highly corrosion resistant. They are non-contaminating, impervious and thermal shock resistant. The OSECO graphite products are particularly suited to uses where a high degree of corrosion resistance and inertness is required.

Enhanced Graphite Disk - Teflon® sintered graphite rupture disk

The OSECO Graphite Rupture Disks are available in an Enhanced design. These disks have many enhanced features over the normal resin impregnated graphite disks. The Teflon® coating is sintered to the process side of the unimpregnated graphite. This feature allows the disks to operate at a much wider temperature range than impregnated graphite (from -402o F, up to 554o F).

VAPRO and POSIPRO Rupture Disks

The OSECO VAPRO and POSIPRO rupture disks are economical alternatives for applications requiring both positive and vacuum pressure protection. The VAPRO (vacuum relief) and the POSIPRO (positive pressure relief) operate over a range of 6” W.C. The VAPRO rupture disks are used in applications requiring extremely low vacuum relief; as low as 1” W.C. (vacuum relief) and up to 150 psig (positive pressure relief). The POSIPRO rupture disks are used in applications requiring extremely low positive pressure relief; as low as 1” W.C.

Transportation Disks

OSECO’s complete line of transportation disks provides overpressure protection of railroad tank cars and shipping containers. The CRC (metal) and HPRC (Ryton) Rupture Disks are designed to fit the standard threaded or bolted railroad tank car safety vent. The HCL-RC (Ryton) is a 4.75” 0.D. Rupture Disk designed for rubber lined tanks cars used in HCL service. The ICD rupture disk is a forward acting scored rupture disk designed for overpressure protection of intermodal containers.

Sanitary Assembly

The OSECO Sanitary Rupture Disk Assembly consists of a special flat seated CO type rupture disk, a sanitary rupture disk holder, and a sanitary steel clamp fitting.

The Sanitary Rupture Disk Assemblies are available in disk sizes 1” through 8” and provides a reliable, leak-tight installation for a wide range of applications where product purity and corrosion resistance are required.

Sealed OTU

Sealed Rupture Disk Holders are used in applications where relief capacity is low and the requirement is for a compact, low cost, one-time-use relief device that is easily installed. The low initial cost and the long service life expectancy make it practical to “throw away” the complete unit after rupture.

Extruder Assemblies

OSECO’s extruder disk assembly places the rupture disk flush with the pressure vessel wall insuring that there are no cavities where products can stagnate and solidify. The rupture disk is soldered or welded to the barrel to prevent any possible leakage, even at very high operating pressures. Most extruder assemblies are custom designed for the individual applications, however, OSECO has several standard designs that are common to the extruder industry. The barrel, or body, is normally Stainless Steel with the rupture disk of Nickel, Monel, Inconel, or 316 Stainless Steel. The OSECO extruder disk assembly may be factory repairable.

Relief Valves

The ORV is a low cost relief valve for applications requiring small relieving capacities. Standard material is brass, having a pressure range of 5 psig through 250 psig and stainless steel, having a set pressure of 3 psig through 500 psig. Outlet connections are also available where required, as well as deflector cover.

Holders

OSECO manufactures a complete line of Rupture Disk Holders, including the Insert, Threaded, Pre-torqued, and Union Type. In addition, we offer all of the Bolted Rupture Disk Holders in your choice of connections. We also can manufacture any special assemblies to your exact specifications.

Specialty Products

Sensors

The OSECO Sensor group has grown to full application standards. A full complement of OSECO products fill all possible applications.

Protective Pipe Covers

The protective pipe covers aid in the reduction of water from rain and snow accumulating in the outlet of an SRV or on top of rupture disks, and also keeps birds and insects from carry foreign materials into the outlet of an SRV. The covers indicate that a valve has relieved or that a disk has ruptured when the cover blows off. A tether rope (optional) retains cover near the valve location.

Covers are constructed of heavy-duty vinyl or neoprene coated polyester with draw string and grommet to prevent loss when valve relieves. Covers are designed to fit over straight cut or angle discharge piping. Please specify whether straight or angle cut covers are desired.
