OsecoElfab’s MV-CF Explosion Vents

OsecoElfab’s MV-CF (Metal Vent-Circular Flat) explosion vent is a simple round flat design effective for demanding applications requiring a circular fitting. The MV-CF is excellent for duct work applications.

It may be exposed to system pressures up to 50% of stamped burst pressure with good service life.

The MV family offers an industry-leading performance tolerance of +/- 0.25 psig. Each vent features design characteristics that reduce the maintenance required while offering a longer service life. All vents meet the requirements of the OHSA Combustible Dust National Emphasis Program and NFPA 68.  A 10-day lead time is available for common sizes of MV-CF, MV-CF and MV-RF through our MV vent stocking program.

  • The MV-CF is available in sizes ranging from 8” diameter all the way up to 42” diameter.
  • The MV-CF is available in set pressures ranging from 0.5 psig up to 10 psig.
  • The MV-CF has a set pressure tolerance of +/- 0.25 psig at or below set pressures of 2.0 psig.
  • The MV-CF is rated for temperatures ranging from -20 degrees F all the way up to 150 degrees F.
  • The MV-CF has a 50% operating ratio, meaning the MV-CF operates reliably and with a long service life at pressures up to 50% of the marked burst pressure.  Pressure excursions above this 50% operating ratio will shorten the lifespan of the MV-CF.
  • The MV-CF is available with a 2-year warranty as a standard.
  • The MV-CF is available in all OE standard materials (316 Stainless Steel, Nickel 200, Inconel 600, Monel 400, and Hastelloy C 276).  Other materials may be available or offered on request.
  • The MV-CF utilizes a CAF-hole opening design, and as such it is a fragmenting design.
  • The MV-CF is NOT capable of withstanding vacuum without an additional vacuum support bar system.
  • The MV-CF is designed to meet all NFPA 61 and NFPA 68 requirements for explosion vents.
  • The MV-CF can be paired with the SVT-03 sensor, to allow for remote monitoring of vent activation.
